HAZI ALDAS (translated from Hungarian)

"BLESSING OF THE HOME"
Where there is faith, there is love,
Where there is love, there is peace,
Where there is peace, there is blessing
Where there is blessing, God abides
Where God is, nothing is lacking

Dear Visitor,

Initially, the site was created to house the beautiful and memorable postcards I received from Hungary for Christmas, New Year's, & Easter holidays, & also Birthday and Name Days. Later, it grew to include photos of my visits to Hungary in 1999 and 2001. I added favorite links to villages, towns & cities West of the Danube (Dunantuli) and the Eastern Bakony Mountain region.

Since one of my first loves is traditional music and dance, I have links to these.

I love Hungarian castles so some sites with photos are included.

Thirdly, wine cultivation has always been a fascination. It was part of everyday life in Bakonycsernye. My family & everyone we knew had vineyards. This is hard to fathom for people growing up in cities, but it is true! Sadly, most people are disconnected from the very earth that sustains life and to which we will return ...

FAVORITE LINKS (on the left side bar) has grown extensively, to include recipes, Hungarian on-line gift shops, bookstores, & even Hungarian card games. There are links to museums, plus historical towns & cities in Hungary.

NAVIGATION FOR FAVORITE LINKS
Each SECTION I - IX lists a variety of topics. After finding your topic, scroll to the numerical section to find the links. I am proud of the rich collection of information I have amassed about Hungary. I hope you enjoy your visit here.
With fondness,
Erika
